Around the World

As you know, I don’t blog about events normally, but I was exploring The World Around and I just couldn’t resist. It was so nice walking around and watching the location and its themes (what a great job), seeing all the items from different and good brands and with a huge plus: “Not lag at all”.

The first theme I visited was Africa, and there I found some goodies I show i my pictures, then I was jumping from one place to another until I was ready with my outfit and came back to Africa to shoot my camera. I hope you like the result.

The advent of mesh even with its alpha issues, was a real upgrade over what we used to have. If I have to choose a single adjective to describe what I am after I would say “fresh”.

The most important thing to me about looks in sl is to keep a consistent facial shape and eyes. I rarely change those. To me they are a big part of recognition and I feel sort of distanced from my AV or friends, whenever mine or their’s change.”

Rose tells: “I came into SL a complete noob to fashion and styling. I got thrown into hunts and trying to find all the group gifts and lucky board items I could. Eventually, I had accumulated such a bazaar wardrobe, that I started to just slap stuff together and see what I could come up with. Over time I found myself leaning more towards the odd colored things, rather than the safe neutrals. Most of the time, I don’t really label my own style as “hipster” “chic” “glam” etc etc, but more “free”

I’m the one who buys hair packs in “rainbow” and makeups in “neon” There are times when I want to wear a pretty white dress with neon pink sneaks? I’m going to do it. Other times I’ll take a blond of off white hair and tint it blue, pink, green, or I’ll tint parts of it, i’ve even gone as far as taking part prim clothes to steal a pair of arm selves and make then into arm warmers, or taken the prim cuffs off jeans and shorten the pant legs to make shorts. I’ll layer and then add jewelry and bags, it’s a bit crazy. But, my sense of style really has no bounds. One day I look normal, the next I look like Fondle Mc Donal’s sister in law.”

It was a great surprise seeing one of my favorite SL creators named one her items after me (at least is what I like to think ) and more when is a high quality one like the Geanna Skin by Izzie Button.

As usual Izzie offers us a very delicate skin with sweet and gentle features that comes in ten tones and with lots of options to personalize your look: four colors eyebrows, twelve lipsticks in tattoo layer, eleven eye shadows on tattoo layer, freckles, cleavage and more.

One of the things I love about Izzie’s skins is that I don’t need to modify my shape, they fit me perfectly.

Sugar Tells: “I would describe my style as simple and understated. I am mostly drawn to clothes that I know I will feel comfortable wearing as opposed to being on trend and trying everything on.

I draw my inspiration from fashion blogs and also in World where I might spot something worn by another avatar which catches my eye. My outfits are mainly in muted tones such as beige, black or brown. Indeed, those who follow my blog will probably have noticed that I go for natural tones and colors. I tend to avoid bright, bold colors but perhaps this might change in the future. I also accessorize outfits with jewellery or handbags although this can be a challenge as I rarely wear things like this in RL. But I do enjoy wearing accessories much more in SL!

With regard to shoes, again I go for comfort and ease such as boots and rarely wear heels. Last but not least, I love skins and hair! I am pleased that there is a World where I can play my fashion fantasies and share this joy with others!
